Matt Warren

I’m a composer, musician, and storyteller with a particular love for music that makes imaginary worlds feel real.

My background spans composition, piano, vocal and instrumental music, music theory, and more than a decade of music education. But what has always fascinated me most about music is its capacity for storytelling—the way a melody, harmony, texture, or single unexpected chord can tell us something about a place or character before a word has been spoken.

As a lifelong lover of fantasy, mythology, and immersive fictional worlds, I’m especially drawn to composing for games and film.  I approach a score not simply as music accompanying what happens on screen, but as part of the world itself: something that can establish its history, atmosphere, mystery, danger, wonder, and emotional identity all on its own.

I composed the original score for Sunken Realms, and I’m currently available for game and other media projects. Whether the music calls for sweeping orchestral fantasy, intimate piano, strange and mystical soundscapes, or something entirely its own, my aim is always the same: to discover what the world sounds like—and help bring it to life.
